About Outsiders

We are advocating for representation in the outdoors and making space for black, brown and queer folks to safely participate in outdoor activities. Nature is for everyone and being outdoorsy is an intersectional experience. We know that individuals can have multiple identities which shapes their experience and access to the outdoors. We strive to break down barriers and ensure that everyone feels empowered to explore and enjoy the outdoors. We are creating the space and community to play in, feel and bask in the wonders that exist outside.

Nature has a way of captivating us, drawing us in and inviting us to explore its hidden treasures. Whether it's a hike through a dense forest, a walk along a sandy beach, or a climb to the top of a mountain, immersing ourselves in nature allows us to witness its raw power and delicate beauty. It is in these moments that we can truly appreciate the intricate balance of ecosystems and the interconnectedness of all living beings. The diversity and majesty of the natural world is unparalleled and we want to bring you on that journey.
